Reading: We will begin working on a project for James and the Giant Peach. You will need to think of one of the insects from the story you would like to research and begin doing some research about it. This will be done in class, but you can get a head start on it now. You will get more information at school tomorrow. The following information is what we will be researching:
What does the environment of the insect from James and the Giant Peach look like?
- Describe your insect's lifestyle; where it lives, any predators, what it eats, how long it typically lives
What characteristics of the insect help it survive in its habitat?
How did these characteristics affects its character in James and the Giant Peach?
What does the insect look like in real life, and what do you think it would look like in James' world?
